Both flatlets have cable TV, wi-fi and plenty of USB sockets
The Hideaway's lovely barn-conversion flatlets are perfect whether you're visiting Leeds for business or leisure, whether you're coming to see family, or to revisit your old uni haunts. They make an ideal base from which to explore the wider countryside of Yorkshire too.
There are two self-contained studios to choose from, each with their own individual style. Or, depending on your needs, you can rent the whole barn, as both flatlets are in the same building with an adjoining internal staircase.
But let's not keep you hanging around here on the doorstep. Come on in and take a look around...
Upstairs at the Hideaway is a charming little pied-à-terre you can really feel at home in.
Its high apex ceiling and original wooden ceiling beams create an atmos that’s light and airy while still being a super-cosy space for snuggling.
There’s a new shower room with a quality shower (no feeble trickles of water here), and a practical, modern kitchen/dining area with a slimline dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, induction hob and coffee maker.
There's a built-in wardrobe with an ironing board and iron, and towels and bedlinen are provided.Check availability
With its full-length window looking out onto the courtyard and beautiful mature garden, the downstairs studio flat is a lovely little home from home that sleeps two to three.
The vibe here is 'contemporary cottage' style, with a sleek modern kitchen juxtaposing the more traditional lounge/dining area.
The flatlet is fully equipped with everything you need to make yourself at home, including a washing machine, full-size dishwasher, small freezer, induction hob and an oven with a 'steam' function.
For three, the sofa folds down into a handy bed and the dining table extends for mealtimes. Peek under the bed and you'll find two folding dining chairs.
Lastly, if you like the option of having a bath or a shower, depending on what mood you're in, downstairs is definitely the flat for you.Check availability
"Lovely location, lovely and cosy flatlet. It was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Headingley is a really lovely area and Jackie's place is the epitome of tranquillity. Definitely would recommend."
"Jackie looked after us so well and her quiet hide away is very cosy and located in a beautiful, leafy suburban area of Leeds, close to a bus stop and a lovely park. Thank you for a comfortable stay!"
"Didn't want to come home. Loved how private it was and a nice surrounding area. Jackie was very helpful with all our needs. Felt very relaxed and safe. Felt very Emmerdale farmy, lovely place."
"This tranquil haven was such a refuge for us… the setting is calm, a river as the only background noise, the surroundings green, with two of the most perfect willows I have ever seen."
"Jackie was so friendly and accommodating and the flat is really beautiful... I really can’t recommend this place enough to anyone needing to stay close to the city centre."
"We found this a perfect place to stay. Everything we needed, a very comfortable bed, peaceful surroundings, shower that worked well and lovely friendly hosts."
Did we mention how leafy our locale is? We're actually right on the edge of the beautiful Meanwood Park, separated only by a burbling stream.
A seven-minute walk through the park takes you to the Waitrose and Aldi supermarkets in Meanwood.
But if you're not in the mood for shopping and cooking, just head out to dinner. There are cafés, bars and restaurants aplenty in Headingley and Meanwood, and they're all walkable.
It's 10 minutes on foot for fish and chips from Catch Seafood and an easy stroll to many more.
Beer-Ritz, a fantastic little emporium selling all kinds of imported beers and wines, is on your way home to the Hideaway from the Headingley side.
You can bob into Bare Coffee for brunch during the day and Headingley's main Arndale shopping parade with its shops and cafés is a 5-minute drive.
And, of course, you can catch a bus to Leeds city centre at the top of the road.
While you're in the neighbourhood, you must pay a visit to the fabulously retro Cottage Road Cinema too!
Downstairs is £65 per night and upstairs is £55 per night. We do offer reduced rates if you're staying for more than 7 days.
Rates are based on one or two people sharing a flatlet. If you wish to use the sofabed in the downstairs apartment, there will be a small surcharge of £20 for the extra bedlinen.
